白象灣生態旅游區，位于蘇州西郊，藏書羊肉美食街北側。她北倚天池山脈，東鄰木瀆古鎮，境內群峰環抱，草木蔥蘢，更有一泓湖水蕩漾其中，清幽秀絕，是繁華都市的生態綠肺，太湖之濱的快樂“桃花源”。

白象灣因普賢菩薩坐騎六牙神象在此降妖除魔幻化成山而得名。佛光普照下的白象灣，景色頗具禪意：春有百花襲人香，夏有鳴蟬鬧溪歡，秋有圓月映湖心，冬有白雪鋪林靜。跨入吉祥大門，親歷繁盛的農耕文明，靜坐寧心湖，攜手愛情谷，在鳥語花香中體驗“關關有道”、“云中漫步”、“幻象屋”等新奇有趣的游樂項目，更可欣賞以大象為首的動物明星表演。

Delightful Eco-Garden of Bai Xiang Wan lies to the north of gourmet mutton street of Cangshu in the western environs of Suzhou. Set gainst the Heavenly Pool Hill on the north, it borders the old township of Mudu on the east and boasts a tranquil,crystalline lake and surrounding hills covered with luxuriant vegetation which has resulted in the formation of an ecological niche amongst the bustling urban areas, and a blissful "Utopia" by the side of Lake Tai.

The legend goes that in remote antiquity the spirit of eel from Lake Tai brought calamities to the region and the people, and Samantabhadra Bodhi-sattva ordered the immortal white elephant with six curved ivory tusks to descend from heaven to wipe out the spirit of eel and do good for the people, and then turned it into a hill watching over the place. Hence the name White Elephant Bay or Bai Xiang Wan in Chinese. In the light of Buddhism the scenic splendors of Bai Xiang Wan possess Zen Buddhist connotations. In spring hundreds of aromatic flowers fascinate the viewer. In summer cicadas chirp shrilly and happily by the stream. In autumn the pure expanse of the lake reflects the bright moon at night. In winder serenity reigns everywhere in the snow-capped forest.Passing through the Gate of Good Luck, one can experience flourishing agricultural civilization, sit quietly by the Quietist Lake,walk hand in hand with the beloved through the Love Dale, play games and gain excitements amid twittering birds and fragrant flowers through the Challenging Way, the Elevated Passage and The Fancy House, and merrily watch interesting performances by star animals headed by the elephant.
